Horizon Elementary recently had an exciting and meaningful visit from N.E.D., bringing an unforgettable assembly filled with magic tricks, yo-yo skills, and balloon fun—all while delivering a powerful message about what it means to be a champion.
N.E.D. stands for three important ideas: Never Give Up, Encourage Others, and Do Your Best. Throughout the assembly, students were not only entertained by impressive tricks and humor, but also inspired to think about how these values show up in their everyday lives—both in and out of the classroom.
Leading up to the event, our students and staff worked intentionally to build a culture rooted in kindness and encouragement. Classrooms participated in lessons focused on these core values, and students actively practiced recognizing and celebrating positive behaviors. As a result of their efforts, Horizon students earned over 1,000 praises during the month of March—a true reflection of the caring and supportive community we are building together.
The N.E.D. assembly served as both a celebration of that hard work and a reminder that learning and growth don’t stop here. Our school is committed to continuing this momentum by encouraging students to show kindness, persevere through challenges, and always strive to do their best.
We are proud of our students for the way they embraced this experience and look forward to seeing how they continue to live out the message of being true Champions every day at Horizon Elementary.
