Today was ALL about connection, community, and a whole lot of Tiger spirit!
Our entire school came together for an epic assembly featuring relay races where every class had a chance to compete, cheer, and represent their team. And let’s just say… 2W showed up! They took home the championship AND defeated the teacher team!
We finished the day with community-building, team-building, and Homecoming-themed activities designed to help our students connect with one another, celebrate each other, and feel like they are part of something bigger.

Elijah is such a hard worker in our classroom! He is always eager to challenge himself and push his learning further (with a positive attitude). He never gives up when something is difficult and is willing to keep trying until he understands it. His enthusiasm for learning and doing his best makes him an amazing example for his classmates!

GOOD NEWS PHONE CALL ALERT! Beckett is a “pawsitive” leader in our classroom! He continuously offers to help both myself and his classmates, follows directions the first time, and is always looking for ways to be a helpful and responsible member of our classroom. Beckett’s leadership and positive attitude make a large impact on our classroom community!

Amos is a picture of INTEGRITY! He consistently does the right thing without ever needing teacher reminders or directions. He is an incredible leader in our classroom and sets such a positive example for his peers simply through his everyday actions. CONGRATULATIONS AMOS!!
Thank you to Mrs. Reiland, Horizon Elementary Librarian, for demonstrating our Core Value of Community through a creative celebration of The Dot! From creating artwork for a giant hallway gumball machine to activities that encouraged creativity, courage, and problem-solving, Mrs. Reiland gave every learner a chance to participate and make their mark.

The lesson of The Dot is simple but powerful: Everyone can be creative, and sometimes you just have to make a start. One small idea, one small attempt, or one small act of courage can lead to something much bigger. The story reminds our learners that mistakes are okay, creativity looks different for everyone, and we should never be afraid to try.
After reading the story, our learners put their own creative spin on Dot Day! They created colorful dots to add to our giant gumball machine in the hallway, completed dot-to-dot activities, designed their own bookmarks, created Dot Day flyers, and even tried to guess the number of gumballs in our hallway display!
