Last, but certainly not least, is 'Star Quilt' by Horizon's 3rd Graders. This piece was a collaborative effort, inspired by Native American art, and proudly displaying Harrisburg colors! All six art pieces will be up for auction at tonight's STEM Festival from 6:30-8:00pm!
This learner was Showing Respect and Practicing Safety today while walking from the lunch room to recess. He set a great example for all second graders of what it should look like to walk in the hallway transitioning from lunch. #GoodNewsCallOfTheDay @pringarrett
'Personality Weaving' is another fun piece of student artwork that will be up for auction TOMORROW at the STEM Festival! This piece was designed by the 5th Grade Class, with each section of weaving adorned by one student and including his/her name and best personality trait.

This one of a kind painting entitled The Wild Alphabet will be up for auction at the 2nd Annual STEM Festival Thursday evening.1st grade artists were inspired by the American artist, Jasper Johns. He is known for his creative use of involving letters & numbers within his artwork.

Today's STEM Festival Silent Auction piece was made by Horizon's Kindergarten learners! It is inspired by author, Eric Carle, and titled, 'Draw Me a Star.' The night sky was also inspirational for each hand-crafted star.
This and other pieces will be up for auction next week!

The second piece of student artwork being highlighted for the STEM Festival and Silent Auction is 'On the Horizon' by the 2nd Grade class. Learners used warm and cool colors to create contrast in this unique sun collage with each sun at a different point in the sky!

The 'Zentangle Rainbow' is the first piece of student artwork to be highlighted for this year's STEM Festival and Silent Auction! It was done by Horizon's 4th Grade, complete with detailed patterns and color choices as each learner created a circular representation of themselves.
